79th Independence Day was celebrated on 15.8.25. The Chief Guest:  Lt. Col. R. Sreenath, Administrative Officer, TN Battalion NCC, Madurai. 

‘No Bag Day’ was observed by the children of Primary on 30.8.25.

SBOA schools, Madurai celebrated its 13th Annual Day on 9th  August 2025. Chief Guest: Hon'ble Mrs. Justice L. Victoria Gowri, Judge, High court of Madras. 

Leprosy awareness programme was conducted on 05.08.2025. Resource Person: Mr.U.Sivanesan, Non Medical Supervisor, Valayankulam PHC.

School Activities and Events

  • National Doctors day was observed on 1.7.25. Our school medical officer Dr.Rathini Alfred explained the necessity of personal hygiene.
  • Plastic-Free Awareness Day was observed on 3.7.25. N.Charulatha and S.Nethra of std XI A gave an awareness talk on reducing plastic bag use and promoting eco-friendly alternatives.  To avoid plastic usage, 'Bag the change' awareness video was shown to parents, van drivers and sanitary workers of Primary. Cloth bag was distributed as a reminder for alternative.
  • ​World Population Day was observed by the department of Humanities on 11.07.25. Students of class VIII  delivered speeches and a quiz was also conducted for the students of class XI.​
  • Hiroshima Nagasaki day was observed by the Department of Humanities on 06.08.2025. 
  • ​‘Quit India Movement Day’ was observed by the Department of Humanities on 07.08.25.  
  •  ‘World Organ Donor Day’ was observed by the Department of Biology on 13.08.25. 
  • ​SBOA School, Madurai observed ‘Kalvi Valarchi Naal’ on 15.7.2025.  Shri.G.Ganapathy, Correspondent of SBOA school, presided over the function and motivated the students to follow the virtues set forth by Shri.K.Kamaraj, the matchless leader. ​​The chief guest Mr.S.Chenthuran, Former Head Master, Madurai College Hr.Sec.School narrated the incidents from Kamarajar's life and encouraged the students to follow the footsteps of such a great and humble leader. Various programmes and activities such as Speech, Poetry recitation and Skit were conducted to make students aware of the selfless services of Kamarajar. Prize winners of various competitions conducted in connection with ‘Kalvi Valarchi Vaara Vizha’ were  honoured by the dignitaries.​

SBOA School, Madurai celebrated its 14th Annual Sports Day on 9th August 2025. Chief Guest: Shri. M. Arunachalam, Deputy Superintendent of Police, CBCID, Madurai.

  • ​Pi Day was celebrated by the Department of Mathematics on 22.7.25.  Pi song,  Badge making and  speeches on significance of ‘pi’ were the activities done by Primary Kids.To mark the significance of Pi Approximation Day, the SBOA Educraft-GPT, a customised AI assistant tailored for the academic needs of SBOA School, Madurai, was  launched and demonstrated by Mr. R.Saravana Kumar, Academic Supervisor, Dept. of Maths, on 22nd July 2025 at 7:22 PM via a Zoom meeting.
  • ​​In line with Drug free TamilNadu Mission, the Anti Drug Club of our school conducted various  activities.
  • ​A comprehensive health camp focussing on eye and dental care was organized for the students of  classes IX to XII on 16.07.2025 and 17.07.25. Shri Ramachandra Eye hospital, Madurai  and PVM Dental hospital, Madurai  hosted the camp. The eye camp was led by Dr.S.Dhivya Shri, ophthalmologist and her team. Dr.A.P.Mayuri, alumna and her team conducted the dental check-up.
  • Appreciation Day was held on 29.07.25.  The Principal and the Compartment Heads honoured the proficiency prize winners and the sports stars of classes LKG to V.

National sports day was celebrated by the department of Physical Education on 29.8.25.
